The day started by making cheesy biscuits that a request had been put in for. They weren't bad at all and a batch of twenty or so has all but vanished.

There was a shopping interlude when we had a very successful and brief expedition to sort out wine and beer, vegetables from the market and the trickiest of tricky presents, which actually fell into place when we went past a shop and saw something in the window that I'd been considering and Ant thought it was a good idea too!

Then back to do more tidying and more cooking, preparing for Sunday lunch and supper. On Sunday all I have to do is nice stuff, making sure presents are wrapped for our guests and cooking the requested chocolate cake
