A mini Blip meet.

This afternoon we met up with the blippers who have been staying in the lodge. Introducing myself in the cafe at Rheged I was told "Oh I knew who you were, your the only ones carrying camera bags!" So for a short time there were 6 blippers from 2 families gathered round the table. Then katkatkat and her partner went off to look round Rheged

So we spend a very pleasant afternoon chatting and drinking coffee. The on our return home katkatkat prepared the evening meal and continued with wrapping presents. A job she is very good at and seems to have been doing for hours on end!

This evening out to our usual "watering hole" to meet up with kanyl giving katkatkat a chance to catch up with her Uncle and Auntie while she is down from Edinburgh.

On the way out of Rheged we passed a number of the "Puppet Lanterns" which had been carried in the Penrith Winter Droving Festival. You need to imagine them on a dark night lit up from inside or perhaps look at the shot clickychick took last year (as I haven't yet posted 10 pictures there seems to be a rather handicapping rule which won't allow me to post a link.
