Dunnottar Detour

The plan today was to drive up the A9 to spend Christmas with CawdorChronicle.
The weather however had other plans for us!
The snow gates were closed at Braemar and Glencoe was impassable leaving only a long detour up the east via Aberdeen.
It was hard to believe the weather related chaos to the west as we dawdled up the tourist trail in the cold winter sunshine.
This is Dunnottar Castle near Aberdeen which I quickly photographed before the cold stripped me of the ability to hold a camera.
