.....up sharp for the train to York for a sporting treat at Bootham Park. I still felt tipsy from the evening before so invested in some G&Ts to help pass the time. Safely delivered to York, Dan (a native) guided us to the best watering holes and collected his mother en route to the game to balance the home and away supporters in our company. Not much to report on the game other than standing in the terrace is the future.

More beer, curry and then an injustice at York train station followed, before we were whisked home to tales of English reputational disasters in Germany and debates on Yes/No.

A top day out.
