Ironing

I took several pictures today, trying to capture a sense of the glorious bright light that we have had up here near the coast on the first day after the winter solstice. But when I came to look closely at them, most of them were a little dull. While I was playing around in between and forgetting about the light and about trying to get a good shot, I took a few of my dear wife doing the ironing. I like the way that the light catches the curling steam. Sometimes it's good to stop trying.
