This is Mrs. hopping out of the water to join Mr.

I had such a nice time at the pond this afternoon: the light was stunning, there were loads of birds on the water (black-headed gulls, mallards, greylag geese, Canada geese), not to mention the moorhens, coots, and Goosles...

I really struggled to choose. There were loads of gulls on the water and on the island which made for glittering gull bokeh (visible in the background here), and the light was surprisingly warm and brought out the colours nicely.

I've put up a few alternatives:
Mr. on the water.
Mr. with wind-ruffled feathers (and gull bokeh).
Mrs. preening peacefully.
