Factory - inverted commas

Taken as I walked up Leith Walk this morning en route to the last Socrates Cafe of the year. Plenty of interesting questions proposed but the two we discussed were whether knowledge was a commodity to be bought and sold and the implications of 'virtual currency (Bitcoins). Interesting stuff.
I wonder if there are a closing pair of commas somewhere that I just didn't see and if this is a new thing - punctuation graffiti?
