Macaroons

Today was a VERY long day. We got up nice and early and walked to the bus stop. Very hot already and again getting masses of looks from people. When the bus finally came we squeezed onto it. We were at the front with our huge bags on standing. Whenever the bus doors opened we both got completely stuck! Finally arrived at the bus station and we went to book a bus to Singapore. All of them were full so we had to book a bus to Johor Bahru. Ran to the bus as it was just about to leave. I dropped money on the floor and when I turned around to get it this old lady had already picked it up and was walking away! So I ran over to her and got it back! When we arrived in Johor Bahru we then booked a bus to Singapore. Whilst eating our lunch we took turns going to exchange our money into Singapore dollars. We had to go through immigration before crossing the big river. Switched buses again! Drove into the big city. We then took a taxi into little India where we tried to find a hostel to stay in. The one that we tried to find had closed down so we went to a different one obviously! We were only going to stay for 2 nights but decided to do 3 as we got the third night for free. We had supper at a chinese place. There was a weird indian guy that stared at us for most of the meal. It was rather annoying and creepy! We made full use of the good internet in the evening.
