Red-bellied's red belly

You may need to go large to see that tiny patch of red. Actually, it's more of a small bit of blush colored feathers on her lower belly... How the Red-bellied Woodpecker got it's name is beyond me. ;)

The roads are suppose to ice over this evening... then we are predicted to get 10" of snow on top of that starting around midnight tonight. It doesn't sound like very good weather for traveling families and I bet a bunch of folks have Christmas plans for tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be as bad as they are saying it will be.
