Whitley Bay

I had an odd day today. I did find myself in Whitley Bay during the very limited daylight hours of this particular solstice. The building where South Parade meets Whitley Road in the centre of this photograph reminded me in its shape of the sweetshop at Lantern Corner in Leamington Spa. I like the way it slopes away, I like that the street is quite busy and I like how the sun catches the rooftops and the sky shines its brightest blue.
