you see them everywhere - these nutcrackers - in many shapes and forms - this one, for instance - is actually a mini cookie jar - i know! very cute - although i do simply use it only for decoration...

did you know: the original nutcrackers were first seen in germany - and were thought to have guardian-like properties because of their strong appearance? nutcrackers have existed since around the 15th century mostly at christmas time...

go figure - clearly there is a nutcracker for everyone - from the most simple to the most elaborate - you only need to search and you will find to be content - and make it...
