Yellow Hammer....

I'm pretty sure this is a Yellow Hammer. My mum and I have looked it up in the RSPB book and its spot on with the facial markings. I first thought it was a Siskin but they are to small and rounded.

It was taken with the 500mm and I have cropped it by 3/4 so it may not look that sharp but waving a 500mm about on a windy day at full tilt I'm surprised I got it at all. lol

What a travesty that Natalie didn't win. She was far far better than Abby. It was a waste of 6 votes! Hey ho that's another year done.
