Rocky

In the spring this year, a tiny barn owl which had fallen from the nest, was handed in to the Owl Sanctuary at Walney Island. I had the pleasure of meeting him in what was a "pop-up" shop" in Kendal today. Amazing. This little critter is totally tame and was loving having a good scratch. He is named Rocky because when he is being groomed he rocks from side to side - they believe it is a pleasure response, and I managed to stay fairly still, but i was very happy too :)

Oh ! And, I got the Christmas shopping done in one raid :) Result.
