No ducks today ..

I whizzed out to the park again at the first sign of sunshine. I'd hoped to get shots of the beautiful mandarin ducks, but must remember that a Saturday isn't the best day to sit quietly and wait for the ducks to glide gracefully around on the pond - the aviary was full of noisy, screaming toddlers a lot of the time, and mandarin ducks are relatively shy.

So the zebra finches saved the day. There's a leaky tap in the aviary and the little birds love it. Sadly it's in shade so doesn't make for the best photos. Here's a little chap taking a drink of water :)
