Shortest Day

A windy day but fairly clear blue skies and sunny spells.

Sammy dog has had a great day today with walkies, playing with mam's Collies, playing with his best friend my niece Elise at my sister's house and even had Turkey for breakfast and tea.
A fairly busy start to my Christmas holidays. Managed to get two loads of washing out on the line even though when I returned home at teatime, some of the clothes were just managing to hang on and no more!
Went to Lerwick to do some Christmas shopping, went to the Clydesdale bank, the machine crashed and has swallowed my card, grrrrr what will I do if I can't get it back!! The supermarkets were an utter nightmare but the Living Lerwick Project cheered me up after that with a fireworks display to celebrate the last weekend before Christmas.
A few festive drinks with friends later to start of the Christmas cheer :)

Even though today was the shortest day, it was by no means the darkest day, as you can see with the blue skies. Thsi was taken about 2pm this afternoon over Wester Quarff.
