U is for .....

Useless! That is how I feel. Yesterday I received a new hoody with the logo of the church youth group (I am an honourary member!). This afternoon I went out to the shed to clean shoes. I discovered the shed had a small leak because of some movement of a wooden panel, so I decided to seal it. My sleeves were pulled up and I had on an old apron. But low and behold I discovered three hours later that some of the sealant had reached my sleeve and hardened!!!! It is currently in the washing machine, but I am not hopeful. What has this got to do with Christmas? Well, Joseph was told that the baby born should be given the Name "Jesus" because He will save His people from their sins. My life, like my new hoody, is flawed by my sins. No human effort can get rid of the stain. But the Saviour Jesus can. What a relief!
