Summing up the day ....

..... left home at 05.55, headed east. Met my colleague and he then drove south for 120 miles. Did what we had to do and then back into the car for the 420 mile drive north.
Did what we had to do and then a 12 mile drive to the hotel - arriving at 8pm!!
A long, long day and the last 4 hours were driven in rain, intermittent sun and then horrible, wet, windy, hammering rainy darkness!

This photo was taken out of the passenger window as we "hurtled" north (he was driving) - it kind of sums up the day of blur and not much definition - and I quite like the effect!

A good meal, a couple (??) of drinks and a decent night's sleep before we head back south, leaving at 07.30 Saturday morning.

Total mileage count for my colleague so far - 521.
