Good Air

So I tagged along with Emma's class trip to the Fire Station. It was pretty cool. At the end the fireman dressed up in his full gear to show the kids that even though firefighters might look scary (and sound like Darth Vader with their breathing apparatus), there's really just a normal guy/gal in there trying to help them. I thought that was a very smart thing to get across.

He also impressed on them, again and again, that the "good air" is down low near the ground. And here you can see he's got us all down with him as this is how they'll encounter him (if worse comes to worst) in a real fire.

Pretty cool trip.
