Eric and Mary at Stroud Farmer's Market

We have both struggled this morning having got to bed rather too late at about 1am after a tiring week. But the holidays are here and Helena can now relax and take life at her own pace without too many calls upon her time.

I had to be at the Farmer's Market to help sell 'Stroud – a town changed by community action', the book Stroud Preservation Trust has just published. Camilla and Anne, my fellow trustees were there when I arrived and were more alert than I was. I did perk up after a while, but Camilla definitely had the gift of the gab today and was amusing anyone passing by our stall at the market. We sold another forty copies this morning and the local bookshop has d run out of copies by midday so we had to stock them up again. One man came by who'd bought a copy last week and purchased two more today as 'it was such a good read he had to give it to some friends'!

Camilla had to go home at one point to replenish our sale stock. A couple approached me who had been mentioned in the book and asked me if I would take their picture for another publication as they didn't have a good enough camera. Although I hadn't met them before, I readily agreed, and took a few snaps which I will send to them later today. So here are Eric and Mary standing next to our stall at the Farmer's Market.
