.... on her evening walk, or rather evening - I - like - to - lay - down - in - the - sun, walk.

Very busy day, very short-staffed, 4 rang in sick, so a nightmare morning, getting everything done.

Then another distressing incident.

A guest reported to security that 2 small dogs were locked in a car, two windows had been left wound down about an inch, but in todays heat of about 28 - 30c, not enough to keep the dogs cool.

So eventually, the police had to be called, then the RACQ, who broke into the car and then the local dog patrol came and took the dogs away.

After 6 hours still no sign of the owners. They will get a big shock when they return to their car, to find the window broken and the dogs gone.

And they will get an even bigger shock, when they have to pay for the repair to the window, and then have to pay to get their dogs back, they will probably also be charged with neglect and animal cruelty.

Why don't these people ever learn.
