Levers and latches

Changed all our upstairs doors- 7 of them.
Not the best experience.
The door stiles, head and foot rails are only 20mm thick, so I had to trim top and bottom of every door with a saw because we have thresholds and need 15mm off the length.
The paint was a disaster.
Three coats on both sides of 7 doors, looks like someone's thrown porridge on the surface and wiped it over with a yard broom.
Acrylic gloss - total rubbish, won't keep a wet edge open for even 5 minutes, I've seen more gloss on vinyl silk emulsion, covering power is awful.
Travelled over 100 miles buying the stuff and changing it because it was so bad.
Only reason for using it was the smell of alkyd (i.e. Dulux Once).
When the weather warms up and we can leave all the windows open I will wet and dry each door to flat them down and give them one coat of Once. (Which is about 75% of the cost of acrylic gloss and you need less paint)
Don't ever be tempted to try large areas with acrylic gloss.
