Hydro !

Sorry - phone blip tonight.

Mad crazy day at work (and another migraine) but headed through to my Weegie hometown with a good friend to check in overnight to a hotel south of the river. Walked into the twin room to find two massive double beds and picture windows of the Dear Green Place. I was in duvet heaven !

A quick bite (and a bottle of fizz) followed by a taxi trip to the new music venue 'The Hydro' to see Wet Wet Wet (or Moist Moist Moist as my sister called them in the 80s!). What a place! What an atmosphere! A bit like being in a spaceship!

Met Jamie the Joiner in the queue. Lovely boy until I realised his mum was 2 years younger than me! He still wanted to take me home with him, gotta love a Weegie humour - and when he found out it was my birthday - wanted to buy our drinks too.

The Wets were superb. Marti was on top voice and when he announced that he was finally 'Home' the place erupted.

Crowd was in fine singing voice - so good, apparantly, that we were now OFFICIALLY members of the band !

A great night, and we slept like babies - stretched out like starfish on our big beds - Heaven !

What a birthday !

P.s. Found out (on the car ride home) that is you put Blue Nun through a Soda Stream -it tastes like Prosecco !!!!
