Little Chefs

First day of Christmas school holiday for Zak and his mate Ben.

We gave the two of them a budget and got them to decide on what to cook for tea, go do the shopping, and then cook the meal for our family of four and Ben's family of five.

Here they are in the heat of Ben's kitchen, plating up the best-ever bacon cheeseburgers (the burgers having been made by their own fair hands), served with fries and salad. Then they surprised us with the revelation that they had managed to allocate a portion of the budget to buying a box of Christmas crackers.

It was fab.
