In the town centre this afternoon where Christmas shopping seems to have reached fever pitch.

I was buying paints and brushes from a model workshop on the High Street, and was struck by the intense concentration and utter absorption, of one of the staff ( who are all serious gamers), as he painted (exquisitely) one of the tiny highly detailed characters, with his quite large hands. He was teaching painting to a group of young boys who seemed equally oblivious to the mayhem outside. Bliss.

And he was very happy for me to 'blip' him. I got a knowing smile from another customer who overheard me asking. I suppose there are a lot of us in Edinburgh!
