Boats and Bites

We had dinner with friends in Sebastopol last night and were both charmed and overwhelmed by her collection of Christmas decor. She even has to bring in extra tables to accommodate about 100 Santas (one almost life size singing one), Three huge camels carrying wise men into the living room, a window ledge crammed with figurines, which I couldn't make out from where I was sitting. Her husband's comment, as she was telling us about her latest Santa acquisition, was, "Because that is just exactly what we needed--another Santa…"

I'm getting back to doing Pilates with Kathy, a wonderful trainer at Tone. I had worked myself up from one on one sessions to several classes and equipment groups a week, but I'm back to square one with a couple of sessions a week with Kathy. I seem to have given the impression that I am filled with energy, which is hardly the case. I hasten to give OilMan a lot of credit for keeping the ship afloat the past few months while I languished!

Nevertheless, we were out the door at 8am to take my car to the shop for one of its ever more frequent physicals. OilMan is seriously considering giving his car to Will, selling mine, and buying two new American cars, which are much less expensive to maintain than two aging Beemers. I'm still formulating my thoughts on the subject.

Today, I am posting , at Local Food Lover's request, my stuffed peppers, endive shrimp boats and cardamom cookies, which will be on offer to friends this evening. Cheers, LFL--too bad you and Philpo can't be here.
