Socks for toddlers

Laurie has a wonderful sock tradition for her toddler cohorts -- for their last holiday season here she knits each child a pair of tube socks in their assigned color. (The colors are assigned when the children start coming here - so their bowls, cups, face cloths, chairs, some toys, etc. are "color coded" throughout the three years - red, yellow, green, and blue.)

Tomorrow is the last day before winter break, so she is madly finishing up the knitting. Her fingers were flying - I had to ask her to hold still for a few seconds to avoid all-out blur!
