Ghostly seed heads

These seed heads of wild clematis, travellor's joy or old man's beard seemed to be glowing with a sort of ethereal light against the gathering gloom of the dense wood. Everything around the nature reserve can look very sombre and rather dreary at this time of the year until you just catch something in the dramatic lighting created by the low winter sun. Good walking weather today, although very slippery and squelchy in places.
