Counting Myself Lucky

This is my long trek home after a terrible accident on I-5 shut down the southbound lanes to 1 lane for 11 hours. A pickup truck(survived but in critical condition) pulling a trailer going north crossed the median side-swiping a box truck(caught fire but both guys walked away) and then plowed head on into a tractor trailer(driver killed). I went through this area about half hour before it happened, Chris just after it happened.

Coming home late afternoon, went from a 50 minute drive to a 5.5 hour, 31 miles. I didn't know about the accident but was fortunate enough to see that traffic was at a standstill (5 hours later) so managed to take a slightly longer route home but of course all surrounding roads were clogged. Someone Chris knows was on I-5 and took 6 hours to go 15 miles.

They don't know why it happened yet, medical emergency or fell asleep or something else. Felt very sorry for the truck driver who died. You never know what is going to happen that will change your life for ever.
