Work under the gasturbine
Eric and Wytze are making preparations to exchange thermocouples.
Eric is doing the work while Wytze is holding the lamp.
Normally that space is dark, now it's lightened by the flash of the camera.
These thermocouples are placed in the outlet of the gasturbine and monitor the exhaust temperature.
There are 31 couples and when two couples next to each other are defective the combustion of the burners in that sector cannot be monitored good enough anymore, so the unit has to be stopped, due to safety precautions.
We have to wait a while before we can enter that space because otherwise it's much too hot.
At first all the clamps which secure the wiring have to be loosened, after that we remove the couples and replace them by new ones.
