We tracked Santa down!
Just to put everyone's minds at rest we can confirm that we tracked Santa down this afternoon. Amazingly he turned up disguised as Ned Kelly, one of Australia's most notorious bushrangers, in a country lane just outside of Ballina. Our eyes nearly popped out of our heads, not only was he posing as Ned Kelly but he was trying to carry off the role of a letter box as well. The police have now called off their search party.
We had a lovely afternoon following the advice of a local fellow who owns a Garden-nursery and cafe near Alstonville. We drove down a lovely leafy country lane to a well hidden waterfall and water hole and then onto the Victoria Park Nature Reserve and took ourselves off on a level walk on the boardwalk through the rainforest. It's always good to get chatting to the locals, you never know where you'll end up and they usually send you off the beaten track.
Earlier this morning at around 6.00am I headed off to walk along the sea wall to the mouth of the river. It was amazing to see so many people with the same idea. I was thrilled to see one of the fishing trawlers coming down the coast and waited until it made it's way into safe harbour.
