"Sheltering" ...
...Or maybe hiding...
...But it was hot out there this morning when we went for a walk down to the river - lots of people moving around down there as well, in the 42degC heat - and a couple of serious looking men passed me carrying very large cameras and bags on their backs..they looked hot..to be carrying all that stuff around today I thought - they must be tourists -they were lost in their conversation much to notice anything and looked as if they would be more than happy to get to where they were going rather than taking photos actually..
...I asked them if they were looking for some birds up there in the gums as well, yes, they were and remarked on how bloody hot it was - I agreed, I didn't see them stop anywhere, in fact I didn't see them again, so they may have disappeared into the old Homestead where it was cool and lovely and filling up nicely with blowflies going in there as well, to the cool...no screen doors there ofcourse..they wouldn't be there long I'd say..
...I spotted this little Eastern Minor sitting in the fork of one of the shady gums - a peaceful retreat from the sun of the morn and I thought I could capture this ok with the colors of the bark of the river gum..
...Little Minor looked hot too, and stayed there for a while before winging off to be with its mates not far away..
