Merry and bright

We saw this cute house on our lunch walk - it's the first time we've been able to get out in a couple of weeks. It was so cold that the squirrels just watched us from their nest and wouldn't come down for crackers. We also saw a massive hawk and I trudged through knee deep snow to try and get a picture, but of course he flew away as soon as I got under the tree. I knew it would happen and did it anyway - but would you be if you didn't even try, as Lyle Lovett says.
