And here comes Zen, Tad's roommate and best friend. Zen went through several design changes - and several more after this, because drawing that hair was really hard. Zen was my introductory character into the "gay world," someone who knew even less than Tad and who had no qualms about asking questions. This set up a great dynamic in which to make Tad freak out, yet again, about all things gay.

As far as the cartooning goes, not bad, but the panels are really cluttered, and I haven't yet here learned to shade in the slightest.
