Repairs

The recent storms damaged our wooden groynes which act as sea defences which are now under repair. Here you see a repair vehicle and two staff. The one in the hole is by a new anchoring post around 1 metre of which is showing and about 5 metres is driven into the sand. The new warning mast is being fitted with a red structure and the whole lot will be fastened to the new post. At high tide the top of the mast and red warning will be visible and warn swimmers and sailors of the submerged hazard.
