Berries
Brachychiton acerifolius, commonly known as the Illawarra Flame Tree, its a large tree of the family Malvaceae native to subtropical regions on the east coast of Australia.
It is famous for the bright red bell-shaped flowers that often cover the whole tree when it is leafless. Along with other members of the genus Brachychiton, it is commonly referred to as a Kurrajong.
The foliage is similar to that of the genus Acer, the maples.
When the buds form on this tree they look like red Berries, then the flower blooms and we can see why it's called "Flame Tree"
It grows better in the rain Forrest's.
This one stands in Yanchep National Park, a short distance from where we live.

This is the closest I could come to finding a berry today.
we were having a party for the six grandies this afternoon, but it had to be postponed as Jaxon has had the chicken pox he was not a happy chappy until Nanna took the party stuff over to him this afternoon, the balloons and the prizes he could have won in the party games, and other extra special treats, also some party food, then he had a smile that lit the room when he saw me, priceless!
He is well in himself now and most of the spots are on the way out just one or two that are being stubborn, no new spots since the weekend thats a good sign,
But as Nan has not had the chicken pox still had to be very careful!
Although its two weeks prior to the dreaded spots appearing thats the most contagious! And there has been drop offs and pick ups from school and plenty of hugs and kisses in that time!
I'm too busy to catch anything, so far so good.
