sudden sunset...

...falling in the sky

with rapidly changing colors

as they so often do - i looked quickly - saw color streaking the sky - grabbed the camera - ran out the door - snap, snap - the colors changed - did another snap and got these glorious pastel colors - highlighting the clouds - in stripes across sky - wanted to make an adjustment - glanced back up - and... just like that - the colors were gone - the sun slipping beyond the trees on the slope - really? what!? really? jeesh... sunsets in the mountains don't take their time - they act quickly - waiting for no one - lasting for nothing - i think it's okay though - i did alright - it ended up i didn't need to adjust anything after all - the colors speak for themselves... as does the cool rippling effect of those clouds - it sort of enhances the natural color of the sunset - at least that's my story - and i'm sticking to it - 'cuz that's what makes for...
