Observations in time

Nearly there

Mum's granny cottage is ready to move into-we've worked like blazes to clean it and her blinds were fitted today. My beloved Dad painted the Monk in the centre of this picture. He was an architect who died when I was 12 and I really felt his spirit today when looking at it. On the right is a lovely wee painting by our daughter S and I placed a cross stitch I had stitched in 1,980 while living in Colorado to the left of this group. I don't know how much of this mum will remember-she has been with us since fracturing her arm in May and has not been back to her house in Glasgow since then. Funny how your world shrinks to a bed, chair, TV and commode when old and frail. As I put away her clothes in the wardrobe I though she will never wear any of them but they still belong to her. We move tomorrow(wish our bit of the house was looking so clean and tidy!) I was there at the back if 7 and the sparky was just finishing up. As long as we can have a shower in our lovely new house it will be great-now where are the towels???
