Learning to fly

Today I attended a celebratory event for emerging a leaders from the a East Midlands in health. I was a sponsor for one of my team who has just competed the programme and it was a proud moment watching her and knowing how much she has grown as a person, manager and a leader. I love watching people grow and as the title of the event learning to fly.

Great quote today was leadership is like teaching them to drive, talking them through from passenger seat, on hand to give direction but letting them do the doing. I thought that's was so true.
