The bridge to nowhere

Over the tops of the fells to Allendale to interview a man who prints bank notes (legitimately!) in his printing press in the middle of nowhere. What a wonderful way to spend a monday morning.

This bridge, near Rookhope, isn't a bridge at all, but used to carry water to the lead mines. Weardale is full of these crazy architectural anomalies, and for once the weather was decent enough to photograph it (usually it's thick mist and rain).
