Head hunters

We took a tour from Kuching today and visited the Semenggoh orang utan centre, a long house and the Fairy caves.

The orang utan centre rehabilitates orang tans for release into the wild. We were lucky to see two orang talks in the trees who later came down to the feed station. It is amazing to see these animals roaming free in the trees.

The long house was a modern day version that is the real home for many families. In the Central hut these heads remain on display. They are from over a hundred years ago when collecting the heads of your enemies was the done thing.

The Fairy caves are beautiful but we worried so much about the kids falling off a cliff that we may have missed some of the beauty!

I'm looking forward to satay in a Malay campong tonight! Yum!!!
