A Bauble

To me this is a very special bauble, it hangs under the star right at the top of our Christmas tree, it was given to me by our youngest Sis (Susan) she came for a visit with her husband Tony from North Wales U.K the Christmas of 2005.
I take it out of its little box every year, it brings back so many happy memories.

I know its an Hutschenreuther painted porcelain Weihnachts Krugel a Christmas Ball with the Hutschenreuther stamp and the date 1814 on the bottom which is also beautifully painted, it's not worth a great deal to anyone else other myself, to me its priceless and I have never seen Christmas Baubles quite like this one in Australia, to me its irreplaceable.

Susan said " she chose this one because it had the kangaroo on it with a Joey in her pouch" there are other figures all around this bauble I could only take the shot from one side, it had to be this side.

A much cooler overcast day today, the humidity is just right too, we heard a nice cool Christmas Day is forecast 28c perfect!!
