Nice lines on a Barn Roof
Farm steadings are outcasts of the structures world - they're purely functional and never really looked at, even though they're often in sweet surroundings.
So, wandering around an isolated steading today, looking for images to capture and letting that let my mind run nicely, it worked well and I began to appreciate the unassuming nature of the place. There was something peaceful and unaggressive about the messy place. The structures did have beauty to them, in a completely unforced, inherent way. And that's not a beauty I'm able to appreciate all the time, but days when your eye is in and you see it are days when things seem simple.
Last three days, my advertisment for maths tuition has born fruit: Three students on the books now, and with any luck I shall soon be self-employed and afloat! Ball is beginning to roll.
Nice day :)
