S O S

A huge SOS for I downloaded OS X Mavericks and now I've lost ALL my iPhoto. Every single picture has disappeared along with the iPhoto programme!!!!
I wish I had spent money on an external hard drive to back up files.
I'll be straight on to the Apple shop telephone tomorrow with hopes that something can get salvaged. Golly gosh! I do not need this at this crucial time of trying to prepare for moving house.

And what a horrible screen saver I now have.
