Christmas Practice

In Worcester Cathedral today we found this organist presumably practising for something special over the next few days. Very atmospheric. I am intrigued by the different shaped arches across the other side of the nave from where the organ is situated. I was also interested to know what they have done with the altar which normally sits in the middle of the nave for "normal" cathedral services. Presumably they have been having concerts on. There was a young man vacuuming the plinth so maybe the altar is going to be put back soon. They also have a Christmas Tree Exhibition in the Cloisters. Some of the trees were a little more tasteful than others!
