From humble beginnings...

Yesterday, when I was trying to come up with something artistic/creative fora table-top shot, I stumbled across my Nikon N2000 body and for a split second thought it might make for something interesting. After the split second it was all about matches...

Today I thought I'd slap the 50mm that came with the body (both bought used from Henry's in Toronto in 1996) and take some pics. As I wiped the dust from the body I was taken aback by how colourful the dials were on the body, as well as on the rings of the lens. See for yourself...

Therefore, I really wanted the black of the parts to disappear into the background, and the colours to take centre stage.
