Not bad for December
In the United Kingdom, due no doubt to the very strange weather we have had this year.
Today although the thermometer says it is twelve degrees Celsius, it is dull, wet and windy which is probably why it feels cold out. Dougal has been outside three times for all of a few minutes each time, before demanding to come back in again. Florence has left her upstairs bed only to eat her breakfast and has been nowhere near the back door.
I went to look in the pond to see if there was any water in it after the rain we have had; there was not. During a quick walk around the garden during my short lunch break, I discovered that some of the buds on this rose bush had flowered so chose this one today.
Update: Looking back at last year's picture, which I always do once I have posted the current picture, I noticed that the snowdrops that I blipped six days ago were my blip last year; these were taken from the same place and were not as far forward in 2012 than they are this year. Two years ago it snowed; very strange weather indeed.
