Migrant workers crossing the park
Went to a park to walk the dog Hurushu (piglet from the snorting sounds he makes when excited) this morning - he was happy to meet up with another dog at the entrance tea shop for they play together every day. For a stray he looked in good fettle but is probably one of the thousands of strays that inhabit the city. It was quite misty (polluted more like) but that made it very atmospheric. These migrant workers are probably from Bihar and were walking behind their husbands who had their children in a bicycle cart and were on their way to a job but had no relatives around to look after the children so had to take them with them. When I sat peeling a banana Hurushu just stood beside me and drooled. Apparently it is his favourite fruit and he was brought up to eat carrots and fruit as rewards for good behaviour. more
