Worth it
Enjoyable day today. Went out to Leicester for a bit of retail therapy, gave up after less than 2 hours as the crowds where horrendous....at 1.45.
Had a nice carvery lunch at the King Power stadium and on the way home Chris did a detour via Meridian Park to see if The Hobbit was being screened at the Vue cinema. It was, but they only had seats available for the 3D showing at the time we arrived.
Decided to do that rather than wait 2+ hours for the 2D showing and opted for the extra wide comfy leather seats., bought our sweeties and went in.
Once you got used to the overlarge specs, which if you are a spec wearer can be a bit awkward, the film was brilliant. There are bits that make you jump and I think they have taken a few liberties such as having the Orcs and Elves in as I can`t remember them being in the book but hey ho, it was a fab way to brighten up a dreary Sunday. Bring on the final part I say.
