VISTA
Had loads to do today but don't seem to have achieved much. Didn't put the Christmas tree up. At first glance I'm unsure how the base fits together so I decided to go back to it when I have more time. ( Possibly in January! ).
I did make some mince pies to take to the taster day at slimming club tomorrow. I used a recipe on the Slimming World website. Just saw on Facebook that Julie, our consultant, has broken her wrist. Its in a sling and she can't drive so she is coming to group in a taxi tomorrow. She's very accident prone. She broke her leg earlier this year and she is still hobbling around and wearing flip flops after injuring her foot a couple of weeks ago - a work colleague slammed a heavy gate on her foot. So poor Julie is going to find daily life rather tricky - and her Christmas preparations seriously curtailed.
Neil has been at work today and he has gone to his Christmas works do straight from work. The " event " is taking place at Newcastle Labour Club. Sounds like a cheap and cheerful occasion. I'm expecting him home in the wee small hours and I have the task of making sure he gets up tomorrow by 7.45am as he has to be at work early to open up. Lord knows what state he will be in.
Today's Forum Challenge is vista.
" Vista - a view, especially a beautiful view from a high position."
Well this view isn't beautiful but its the only view I have seen today. Its the view across the allotments at the back of our house as seen from Neil's bedroom window. As you can see its been a dull day today - quite windy with some rain later on.
