Getting there...

Somehow, despite buying an extra set of tree lights last week, I'm still short! Too busy this weekend though to buy more - well, I forgot yesterday when I was out, and today I've been making sweeties and finishing off my cards (never thought I'd finish then lol).

I had a friend over for tea last night - thankfully he was happy with (or at least willing to accept) my offering of vegetable chilli and rice. It was quite spicy!

It was a really good evening - my friend was on great form as he's in a new relationship. It seems to be going really well and they have lots in common and it's so exciting. And I'm so happy for him, it's been a long time coming and he deserves someone to see what a lovely person he is.

Less admirably, I'm also very envious. We've both been more or less alone for some time, but I vaguely remember that initial feeling - you know, the butterflies, not being able to sleep, walking around with a silly grin on your face for no apparent reason...

However, when you're too chicken to put yourself out there - as I am, and he's not - then what can you expect?

While I was in New York I had conversations with two strangers. So hopefully I'm getting better?

I'd like someone to like me :-)
